From time to time you have probably heard me mention Shaklee. I thought I would explain to everyone why I have chosen to partner with the #1 natural nutrition company in the country. Just 6 short years ago I began a journey full of more awakenings, challenges and belonging than I could ever imagine. I was in the process of redefining my idea of health after being diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter. Doctors told me the cancer would likely return. I was determined to write a different ending to my story. I became a student of all things health and wellness but kept finding myself being disappointed when it came to many of the products I tried. There didn’t seem to be scientific proof of some of the claims and, since I was completely changing my life around, I wanted proof!
Then a friend took the time to tell me about Shaklee.
She not only explained the products but showed me the integrity behind this company. I felt extremely excited and hopeful for the first time in a long time. Soon after I started using Shaklee products, I began seeing major results in my health. Eventually she shared the best product of all with me, the business. I just didn’t know it, yet.
At the time I was 32 years old with two busy little girls. I told myself this wasn’t the kind of business I wanted. The truth is, down deep, I didn’t think I could do it. I wasn’t the same woman I am today. The woman you see speaking before hundreds of people, the woman you see on TV, the woman who writes books and boldly speaks her truth didn’t exist then. Back then, I was afraid, worried what people would think of me, fearful to speak in front of people or put my reputation on the line.
It was a safe way to live but not a fulfilling one. I wasn’t participating in my own life. But that was about to change.
Margaret Mead once said “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
With the help and encouragement of others, I started to share what this amazing company had done for me. One person led to another. I started talking to others searching for health and a way to boost their financial situation.
I spoke to women who didn’t want to go back to corporate America after having babies, stay at home moms that wanted extra shopping money, single men and women looking for another stream of revenue. Entrepreneurs, Doctors, nurses, personal trainers, even my best friend who worked on Wall Street and wanted a long term way to spend more time with her family. The list goes on…
This idea of truth telling fueled my spirit with every new connection I made. It was a reflection of my growing faith. It stirred something in my heart. I began to dream about building a legacy for my children. But how? I know, can you believe I thought that? It’s like, have you ever been looking for your car keys only to realize they are right in front of you?
Step by step I kept moving toward this feeling of worth.
See, the most beautiful result of all of this isn’t the business transactions. It is developing authentic, meaningful relationships. Getting this far wasn’t just about Shaklee. It was about connecting and making a real difference. It was about standing up for what I believe in. It was seeing what I could do for others and understanding that their success lifted me. My real purpose is helping encourage others to know their true worth.

- Work for a cause greater than yourself.
- Surround yourself with positive people.
Shaklee is a community of people that come together for the good of the people around us and the earth. My husband asked me once if this was a ministry or a job. It is truly a mission based company. Working alongside others who are living out their purpose, feeling like I belong, participating so fully in life, THAT is what propelled me to Master Coordinator in such a short amount of time.
In a world where connections on social media often leave us feeling ‘less than’, I am energized by people who embrace and cheer each other. Instead of clocking in at a traditional job, I am able to choose who I work with. In today’s high tech world I see the value everyday of being able to talk to real people and touching their lives in a deeper way.
I truly think the thoughtful, committed people I have encountered are changing the world family by family. I teach others that lifestyle changes have to be simple and accessible, otherwise, they won’t happen. Shaklee supports my philosophy by offering simple and pure choices.
When you are backed by a company that has been around for 60 years, a company that believes in leaving the world a better place, that is not swayed by every new fad and product that comes along but continues to push technology for the development of the great good, it is easy to speak with confidence.
This journey to Shaklee Master Coordinator is a journey on which I have discovered gifts I didn’t know I had. Gifts I would have never uncovered had I not trusted in God and taken those first steps outside of my comfort zone.
Because of Shaklee, I have also experienced places and people I wouldn’t have otherwise.
I have seen remarkable health turn arounds. I have met men and women twice my age with an energy that is inspiring.
Within this company we are encouraged to dream BIG.. to say why not me? Shaklee has not only grown me as a person but allowed me to be successful in business.
I truly believe you attract what you are. We have an amazing leader at the helm of this company in Roger Barnett.
He brings out excitement and honor and integrity. And as I lead with boldness and love I continue to attract incredible leaders and individuals on my team that reflect my same excitement, and passion.
It is equally exhilarating and exciting and scary to become the person you were created to be. To know that the real you is more than your circumstances. It is easy to believe we are what others tell us we are or to let our own negative self-talk hold us back. When I realized that God made me with exactly the gifts I needed to love this love, I was able to step into what I felt called to do. Where I was fearful my faith helped me become fearless. Step up to embrace the you, you were really meant to be. You are already enough! People need you. Believe it.
Stand strong. Believe. Life is short. I know, life is hard. But to have a purpose and people and passion to lift you through the hard days makes it all worth it.
