Let me share with you one of the most profound statements by one of my colleagues, he said, “I eat as if I have cancer everyday.” Meaning he eats as though he is trying to heal cancer in his body everyday. Imagine if that was your dominate thought when headed to eat every meal. How good would your body look? How much energy would you have? How much longer would you live? How great would you feel knowing you are preventing cancer, heart disease, and prolonging your life? I have been thinking about that statement and while I was thinking about it I came across new research. It actually shows that by eating the wrong foods, which for most americans is fast food, you are becoming obese and fueling cancer. Thew research shows, “There are 2.4 million more obese Americans this year, right now, than there were two years ago,” says Susan Higginbotham, Director of Research at the American Institute for Cancer Research (AICR). ”And we’re concerned because this means more cancer cases in the future because of the strong link between obesity and certain types of cancer.
One of my mentors, Dr. Ben Lerner, has been speaking lately about the difference between happiness and fulfillment. I want to relay the message in regards to what you are putting in your body. He calls a “happy meal” a “sad meal”, but this idea applies to everything we eat. Why? I’ll tell you, because even though it may be pleasurable in the 5 minutes you are eating it, if the food causes you to be lethargic, tired, unproductive at work, for your family, causes obesity, heart disease and cancer in your body then is it really a meal that makes you happy? I didn’t think so. Thats why it is much more important to think about being fulfilled. Imagine this, eating a meal, and after that meal having plenty of energy, clarity of thought, productive, leaning out your body so you look like you want to look, waking up in the morning full of energy, all the while knowing that you aren’t building disease in your body. I’ll be honest, I haven’t always thought like that but the important part is I do now. Its not too late for you to radically change your life. Today could be the first day of the new you, your new family and the rest of your life. Don’t have a mediocre, mundane, ordinary, lethargic, lukewarm life. MAXIMIZE IT! NOW! GO!
Make the decision now, start living a fulfilling life, not a “happy” one. There is only one kind of office that is certified to teach and lead you through this life so you and your loved ones life to live to their potential.
