Oh my goodness I want to scream! I have found like the Holy Grail of natural hair products and I want to tell the whole world about it. Seriously, you have no idea what a big deal this is for me. I have struggled for years trying to find a natural option for my hair that really works. It’s the ‘works’ part that I haven’t been able to find. There are plenty of natural products out there that have led me to more than a few bad hair days. But this, this you guys, is the real deal!
I discovered the line on a recent trip to California. It’s called Ekatala. It’s a sanskrit word that means harmony. It was developed by a master hair stylist who began researching options for clients that had been complaining about fly aways. When she couldn’t find what she wanted.. she made it herself. How cool is that? Fearless!
Ekatala is free of: Gluten, Synthetic Ingredients, Preservatives, Fragrances, Colors, Fillers, Parabens, Sulfates, Petro-Chemicals, GMOs. It’s vegan, organic and never tested on animals. All of the ingredients are biodegradable.
But what makes it so awesome is that it works! For the first time I feel like I can give up my other products and the chemicals that come with them. It’s something that has bothered me for a long time. I know that skin is our largest organ. In my new Healthy Lifestyle Guide I even talk about how what you put on your skin is absorbed into your body. The average woman uses about 12 different body and skin care products a day, each containing about 10 different chemicals. Do the math and that means you are applying a total of 120 chemicals to your body DAILY! The problem is many of the ingredients in our personal care products contain harmful ingredients associated with everything from cancer and infertility to weight gain. I know the stuff I’ve been using isn’t the best option for me but I couldn’t make the change. I’m human and no matter how much I believe we are more than how we look, I wasn’t willing to have bad hair all the time. There is a whole psychology behind hair and our feelings about it. A good hair day can influence how we feel, and sometimes how others feel about us. Experts say its among the top three features along with height and weight that people use when describing others. I have a friend who says, ‘Never waste a good hair day!’ She always makes sure to have plans after she gets her hair done.
I am sure Ekatala won’t be a secret for long. It’s already outselling some very popular brands in some salons on the West Coast. I recently talked about it on a recent appearance on NBC’s Charlotte Today show.
Did I mention it really works? It smells good too! The Ekatala line uses organic essential oils: the distilled essence of a plant to give the products the smell of lime, coconut, citrus, lavender. A lot of people think if you can’t smell it or it doesn’t foam luxuriously then you aren’t getting good results. The truth is, some of the ingredients that create the smells and the foam are actually banned in Japan, Canada, and Europe. They help make the products last longer and are cheaper to manufacture. But you don’t need that stuff to get results with this 100 percent natural high performance beauty collection.
What’s even better is that this product is right in line with my own philosophy. The Ekatala icon is a strong, powerful, healthy and naturally beautiful woman. That is what I believe lives in all of us. It’s about creating balance and harmony with the lives we were meant to live.
I always say when it comes to making healthy changes, make one swap at a time and then move to another. This discovery has helped me make a new swap! Let’s hear it for no more bad hair days!
